How Modus Works
Driving Change Through Community Partnerships
At Modus, we believe that transportation is a basic need—and we’re here to make sure no one misses out on opportunity simply because they can’t get where they need to go.
We do this by partnering with over 80 local organizations—schools, healthcare clinics, job training programs, shelters, and more—to provide free, reliable rides to the people they serve.
So, how does it work?
1. Community partners identify the need.
Modus riders are referred by one of our partner agencies, removing transit barriers for appointments & services.
2. The partner connects with Modus.
We make it easy to connect your clients with the wraparound services they need.
3. Modus gets them there—on time, safely, and at no cost to the rider.
Our vetted, trained drivers provide curb-to-curb service across Tulsa, helping people get to the places that move their lives forward.
Why This Matters
For thousands of Tulsans, transportation is the missing link between struggle and stability. It’s the difference between staying stuck and moving forward.
That’s why Modus partners with dozens of community-based organizations that are already doing incredible work across Tulsa—from housing and healthcare to education and youth development. These partners know what their clients need. Modus helps get them there.
When we provide a ride, we’re not just helping someone get from point A to point B—we’re helping them:
Get to a job interview that could change their future
Reach a shelter or housing provider that can offer stability
Access critical medical or mental health care
Make it to school, training, or a GED exam
Reconnect with community, purpose, and hope
We’re proud to support and collaborate with local agencies like:
A Way Home for Tulsa (AWH4T): A collective of 60+ organizations working to make homelessness rare, brief, and nonrecurring. Modus helps connect their clients to housing intake, mental health services, and follow-up care.
My Brother’s Keeper – Tulsa: Focused on creating opportunities for young men of color. We help their scholars get to school, job readiness programs, mentorship events, and more.
Youth Services of Tulsa: From counseling to case management, we help teens and young adults stay connected to the support systems they need.
Tulsa Day Center, Catholic Charities, and Supporting Healthy Initiatives for Tulsa (SHIFT): We support access to shelter, food, safety, and healing.
Hunger Free Oklahoma: Because no one should have to skip meals because they don’t have a way to get to food.
These are just a few of the more than 80 partner organizations we work alongside every week.
When our partners provide the programs, Modus provides the access.
Together, we create a network of support that actually works—because people can reach it.
What Makes Modus Different?
We work behind the scenes, helping other nonprofits do what they do best.
We serve as a transportation bridge, connecting people to vital services across the city.
We meet people where they are—literally. Every ride starts at their front door.
One Ride Can Change Everything
When someone has a reliable ride, they’re more likely to:
✔️ Keep their appointments
✔️ Reach their goals
✔️ Break cycles of poverty, illness, and housing instability
Because when transportation is no longer a barrier, possibility opens up.
Modus isn’t just a ride service. It’s a movement to make Tulsa more connected, more compassionate, and more equitable—one ride at a time.
